Additional information on how you can support our work will be added shortly.
A building’s roof is one of its most important defences against environmental heat. Yet decisions about existing roofing are most often approached simply as maintenance issues—the roof has deteriorated to the point that it must be repaired or replaced.
CoolRoofsBC recommends viewing this situation much differently, with every roofing project considered as an opportunity to evaluate cool roof options and provide additional long-lasting benefits for the building itself and the larger community in which it is situated.
Help advance cool roofing in British Columbia.
CoolRoofsBC needs financial support to develop reliable information, support community outreach and advance the research and practical initiatives described on our Planned Initiatives page. Your contribution will help turn these plans into resources and action that prepare BC for a hotter future.

Community Involvement
01
One of the most important ways individuals can support CoolRoofsBC is by helping build awareness of cool roofing within their own communities.
The Cool Roof Ambassador Program is being established to create a province-wide network of individuals helping increase awareness and consideration of cool roofing within BC municipalities and First Nations communities.
CoolRoofsBC was established on principles intended to ensure that it operates
independently, serves the public interest, works collaboratively with others, and ultimately
remains responsive to and governed by the communities it exists to serve.
